I was browsing on the Snopes Urban Legends page today and I discovered FreeRice. It's not a hoax site - you really are donating rice to hungry people, by playing the word game on the site. Each word you get right donates 20 grains of rice. The advertising revenue generated by your participation on the site (you'll notice ads at the bottom of the page) pays for the rice!
